* Possible via API: Additional functionality can be achieved by integrating directly with our API. While we currently provide official plugins for Shopify and WooCommerce, your developer can use the API to build custom integrations for other platforms, at your own expense, enabling them to work seamlessly with the Big Post system.
1- A custom solution can be developed with your developer to consolidate multiple items into a single package. Once consolidated, the final package dimensions can be sent through our API to obtain a shipping quote. While our API does not perform package consolidation automatically, this functionality can be built into your own system and integrated seamlessly with the Big Post API.
2 - Our API always returns live shipping rates; however, your solution can be designed to apply a margin by adding or removing values as needed.
3-  Jobs can be created via our API; however, they must still be despatched and confirmed before the carrier is notified of the consignment.
4 - Verification of the pickup and delivery address types is required prior to despatch.
5- Job status details can be retrieved via a dedicated API endpoint using specific job IDs, but the endpoint must be called manually and does not push tracking updates automatically.
6 - Shopify natively supports product weight only; as a result, product dimensions cannot be imported automatically.
7 - Setting fixed shipping rates for specific delivery zones does not require the Big Post API - however the API can be used to automate the job creation process once those orders are submitted.
