Widget & Checkout Customisation

Widget & Checkout Customisation

This guide will help you customise the labels and descriptions for shipping options displayed on the product page widget and at checkout. You can adjust labels such as "Delivery to your Home", "Delivery to your Business", and "Delivery to a Depot closest to you"along with their descriptions, to provide clear, concise information and minimise potential miscommunication with customers.

By customising these text fields, you can create a more tailored and seamless checkout experience for your customers.

Access the Checkout and Widget Settings

  1. Navigate to Settings in the left sidebar.
  2. To customise the text fields displayed at checkout, click on the Checkout tab at the top of the screen. Here, you can edit labels and descriptions for shipping options shown during checkout.
  3. To customise the text fields displayed on the product page widget, click on the Widget tab. This section allows you to adjust labels and descriptions for shipping options as they appear on the product page.

Customise Residential Delivery Options

  1. Home Delivery Label
This field allows you to customise the main label for home delivery options. For example, change "Delivery to your Home" to something more specific, such as "Residential Delivery" if needed.
  1. Home Delivery Description (Small Items)
Enter a brief description for small item home deliveries. This description applies to products with the package type set to Carton, Satchel, Roll, Pack, Bag, and Tube when Authority to Leave (ATL) is not selected.
  1. Home Delivery Description (Small Items) (ATL)
Similar to the previous field but for ATL deliveries, use this field to describe Authority to Leave (ATL) instructions for small items, such as: “Your goods will be left in a safe location nearest to your front door.”
  1. Home Delivery Description (Tailgate Required)
For large items that require tailgate delivery—such as Pallets, Skids, Crates, and Stillages—customise the description here. Example: "Tailgate delivery requires a sealed, even driveway with reasonable height clearance. Delivery will be made to the nearest practical point."
  1. Home Delivery Description (Tailgate Required) (ATL)
Similar to the previous field, but specifically for ATL deliveries. Customise as needed to clarify that goods will be left when no one is available to accept them.

Customise Business Delivery Options

  1. Business Delivery Label
Customise the label for business delivery services. For example, you might change "Delivery to your Business" to something more specific, like "Commercial Delivery" or "Delivery to Business Address" to better clarify that this option is intended for commercial addresses.
  1. Business Delivery Description
Provide details about the requirements for business deliveries in this field. Mention any specifics, such as forklift availability for receiving pallets, or other equipment that may be required for unloading. You can also use this space to inform customers that residential deliveries booked under this option may incur additional fees, helping to set expectations for non-commercial addresses.

Customise Depot Collection Options

  1. Depot Collection Label
Customise the label for depot collection. For example, you might use “Delivery to your nearest depot for collection” or adapt the language to better suit your business needs, such as “Pickup from Local Depot.
  1. Depot Collection Description
Provide a description for depot deliveries. For example: “Delivery to the depot closest to you. Includes free storage for up to 5 business days.” This is a good place to inform customers of any additional details, such as storage time limits or pickup instructions.

Widget Settings

  1. Minimise Widget: Displays the product page shipping widget in a minimised state, allowing customers to expand it if they wish to view a quick shipping quote.
  2. Custom Text: The text displayed before the customer selects a shipping type or enters their suburb.

  3. No Available Shipping Message: The message shown if no shipping options are available for the selected type or location.

Save & Preview Your Changes

  1. Once you have customised all necessary fields, click Save at the bottom of the page to apply your changes.
  2. Preview your checkout page & Test the Settings: After saving, perform a test checkout to ensure the new labels and descriptions appear as intended.
