Creating an API Token

Creating an API Token

This article will guide you in creating an API token for the integration.

1. Log into your Big Post account and navigate to Admin at the top and click on My API Tokens

2. Click on the ‘Create API Token’ button.

3. Enter a name for your API token and click Create.

Note: You can enter any name you like, however we generally recommend entering in your company name

4. Copy your API token and save it in a safe place in your computer.

Note: Once you close this popup modal, the API Token cannot be viewed again and a new API Token will need to be created if a Token is needed again.

5. If you need to revoke an API token, click on the cogwheel and select ‘Revoke Token’

Please note:
- No two tokens can have the same Token Name
- If the user account who created the API Token is removed or deleted, the API Token will also be deleted and a new one will need to be created by an active user.
